Signs of California wine country are everywhere as we drive in from San Francisco. Some are in the form of the rose bushes found in every vineyard . . . ,

. . . others such as fascinating little eateries like the Boonfly Cafe pop up, seemingly out of nowhere . . . ,
and other signs, the orderly vineyards and rolling vistas of gold spread with wild mustard flowers let you know you are here.

Other more obvious signs lead to Sonoma . . . . ,
down the streets of Napa . . . ,

. . . and to kitchen gardens found at so many of the wonderful restaurants.

Signs lead the way to our favorite wineries . . .

And though you may occasionally be tempted to wander from the beaten path to investigate where that intriguing little road lined with rose bushes might take you . . . ,

. . . don’t stray too far. Find your way back and follow the signs that unmistakably mark the trail to the tasting rooms because, after all, you certainly don’t want to forget the reason for your visit to California wine country!

These are wonderful photographs.
Thank you kindly! I had a great deal of fun taking them! 🙂
What a fun trip. It all looks so peaceful.
It is absolutely beautiful. I think people tend to think it’s all about the wine. I love the wine, of course, but communing with nature is my favorite part.
